Frequently Asked Questions

What is covered in the Emergency & Fire Warden Training course?

The course covers emergency planning, emergency warden duties & fire warden responsibilities, safe evacuation procedures, use of communication systems, and post-incident reporting — all aligned with PUAFER005 and AS 3745-2010.

While the Statement of Attainment does not expire, it is recommended that Fire Wardens refresh their training every 2 years to maintain compliance with best practice and evolving workplace procedures.
Absolutely! We offer workplace fire warden training for teams and can tailor the session to suit your site, staff size, and emergency procedures.
Our fire warden training program is suitable for anyone responsible for fire safety in the workplace — including floor wardens, ECO members, team leaders, and safety officers.
Yes you can! We offer a combined course featuring the PUAFER005 & PUAFER006 units, in a single, 6 hour session. Please note – evidence of prior completion is required if enrolling in PUAFER006 on its own.
Fire Wardens, including area or floor wardens, typically wear red hats or vests during emergencies. In some workplaces, yellow may be used to further distinguish floor or area wardens.
Colour coding allows for quick visual identification of emergency roles. It ensures occupants can find the right person for directions or assistance during evacuations and allows emergency services to coordinate with the ECO efficiently.
While AS 3745-2010 recommends these colour standards, workplaces should ensure they follow their site-specific emergency plans and provide the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for wardens to comply with the standard.
