Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
We are a Nationally Recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 40407)
This course will provide you with an understanding of how to apply immediate care of an injured or suddenly sick casualty be that first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until more advanced medical help arrives.
This course covers 2 Units of Competency from the new HLT Health Training Package recorded on your Statement of Attainment
Issued the same day after successful completion of the course you will receive on your Statement of Attainment:
- HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
* Also includes Defibrillation (AED) , EpiPen training
- All of the content included in Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (HLTAID001) plus;
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Severe bleeding & bleeding control
- Absence of life
- Choking/airway obstructions
- Infection control
- Airway management
- Chest pain
- Severe allergic reactions
- The Chain of Survival
- Calling for help
- Understanding the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Own skills and limitations
- Reporting and recording an emergency
- General WHS and legal issued
- Awareness of stress management and support
Our course is flexible in delivery and we provide theory based reading booklet (Learner Guide) to be studied by participants prior to the practical session. We anticipate the pre - learning required may take 4- 8 hours depending on participants.
To ensure the integrity of our assessment process there is no online assessment completed, however written assessment and progressive assessments will take place during the practical session.
Nationally Accredited Certification upon successful Completion
Statement of Attainment in HLTAID002 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
Valid for three (3) years from the completion date
Statement of Attainment in HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Valid for 1 year, as per the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines the HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation unit needs to be completed every 12 months
On the day after successful completion of the training course.
This is subject to reading being completed prior to the training and the USI details to be provided to the RTO 40407: 24hours prior to the training being delivered for verification. If the USI details has not been forwarded to us in the due time, we cannot guarantee that your certificate will be issued on the day.
